Join us at SBE’s 2026 Cook-Off + Bazaar. This signature Navigator event brings together incredible food, entertainment, and over 2,000 attendees for a celebration you won’t want to miss.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MARCH 9, 2026
Team Registration and Fees: $600
• $600 Team Registration (includes up to 4 members)
• $100 per additional member
• Max team size: 6 members
Registration Includes
• Team admission to the Captain’s Dinner
• Team VIP admission to the Cook-Off + Bazaar
• One pig weighing 50–60 lbs
• One 10x10 tent
Awards
• Championship Cook-Off Belt – Best Overall (1st Place)
• Trophies awarded for:
o Best Chicharrón
o Best Booth
o People’s Choice (Every guest attending may vote in this category)
o Best Side Dish
Cooking & Safety Rules
• Teams must bring their own cooking devices, utensils, & equipment.
o Built-on-site ovens & gas-type ovens are NOT permitted.
• At the time of sampling, pork MUST reach a minimum internal temperature of 145°F.
o Teams may be disqualified if meat is not fully cooked.
• Children are NOT allowed near cooking devices/areas.
o Repeated violations may result in disqualification.
• Ash kits will be provided.
o Teams must bring flat shovels for ash disposal.
Judging Requirements
• Each team is required to submit:
o Sample portions of meat
o Sample portions of skin/chicharrón
o Sample portions of at least one (1) side dish for judging (Additional side dishes are optional)
• Serving containers for judging will be provided.
• Judging criteria include:
o Theme & originality
o Taste
o Skin/chicharrón quality
Presentation & Schedule
• Teams must have pigs ready for presentation & judging at a designated time (TBD).
• A detailed Cook-Off Day Schedule will be provided closer to event date.
Theme & Booth Guidelines
• Each team will be assigned a preparation/serving area of at least 10' x 15'.
• Booth themes must not exceed the allotted space.
• Teams are encouraged to be creative while remaining appropriate for a family-friendly event.
• St. Brendan Elementary School (“SBE”) and St. Brendan Men’s Ministry (“SBMM”) reserve the right to reject any theme or application.
Terms & Conditions
• No refunds will be issued once a team is accepted.
• Any photos or videos taken or authorized by SBE may be used for promotional purposes.
• By participating, contestants agree to:
o Indemnify and hold harmless the SBE Cook-Off + Bazaar Committee, SBE, SBMM, and St. Brendan Parish, including all employees, agents, & volunteers, from any claims arising from:
ï‚§ Equipment or property used by contestants
ï‚§ Acts or omissions of contestants or their representatives
ï‚§ Participation in the contest
• Participation constitutes agreement to abide by all rules and regulations outlined herein.
